Human Rights is a story of a man who wakes up to find that left and right have suddenly become reversed: like someone held a giant mirror up to the universe. He dreamed of plum trees. The one's of his youth, he remembered climbing so high his arms were shaking and going just a little further... He opened his eyes not sure of where he was. He sat very still in his bed trying to figure out what had happened. He was in a strange room, in a strange bed. He sat up: and his head felt like it was going to implode. Gradually he pieced things together someone had moved all of the furniture in his room. His dresser was now on the left and his bed on the right. His desk was now on the right and his door was on the left. His door was on the left? He closed his eyes and tried to get a grip on what was happening... Neil - Monday, September 27, 1999 at 15:03:12 (EST) Eyes still smeared with sleep, he stumbled over to the bathroom only to find out (the hard way, might I add) that his bathroom had been moved as well. His BATHROOM dammit! "Why would you move a guy's bathroom," he asked no one in particular, as he swiped furiously at the suspicious stain that was now etched into his wall, "I mean, geez... that's just asanine!" Picking up the sponge that had been used to scour the wall, our friend made his way to the REAL bathroom, and was just about to enter when he heard a strange, soft, melodious humming coming from behind the door. The voice doing the humming was purely feminine as it worked out the innocently unfamiliar tune, but wait! our buddy with the sponge lived alone, and he seriously didn't remember bringing a woman home the night before... but then again, he also didn't remember moving his furniture and his BATHROOM, either... tiphany - Wednesday, November 03, 1999 at 18:06:40 (PST) After all, it was like he said earlier hte man with theand when he found his tree there was no way turn left serge - Wednesday, August 09, 2000 at 09:18:30 (PDT) The man reasoned that if there was a woman in the bathroom taking a shower, then she must be naked. Furthermore, if she was in his own bathroom, and he doesn't remember her, they must have come home together from somewhere in a wild druken adrenaline rush, refurnished and rearranged the walls of his house to align with the principles of feng shui- afterwhich, made passionate love in his bed and passed out in each other's arms. This clearly being the case, the right thing to do was to just go into the bathroom and look at the naked woman that he had already seen but couldn't remember. So, he opened the door and walked into the bathroom, knocking his left side on the sink that should have been on the right. The woman was just wrapping the towel around her body as he walked in so he didn't get even a glimpse of what appeared from the back to be a spectacular figure. She had long blond hair that she wrapped up into another towel and turned toward him. She lets out a little cry when she sees him standing in the cramped bathroom, and says, "Oh Marco, don't scare me like that!" But the man knows that his name isn't Marco. "I'm not Marco!" He sputters... "Who are you? What have you done to my life?" ... danstrack jones - Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 10:50:58 (PDT) This site is archived and is no longer accepting additions. |
